Laura Murphy, DVM
General practitioner Dr. Laura Murphy joined the Valley Cottage Animal Hospital medical team in 1998. A native of Sparkill, she attended Drew University and Columbia University, and received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 1988. She completed her veterinary education at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. Dr. Murphy's professional interests include preventive medicine, dermatology, internal medicine and the care of pocket pets.
Outside of work, Dr. Murphy enjoys hiking, running, reading and spending time with her family. She shares her home with a dog, Lola, Tweety, a parakeet, and Skis, a gerbil.
