Javier Diaz, DVM
Native to Santiago, Chile, Dr. Javier Diaz is a general practitioner at Valley Cottage Animal Hospital. Dr. Diaz attended the Iberoamerican University of Science and Technology College of Veterinary Medicine in Chile and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. He completed a clinical internship at the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine and received full accreditation by the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates. Dr. Diaz's professional interests include general medicine and surgery, radiology, internal medicine and ophthalmology. He has also participated in genetic research on the cytogenetic markers of DNA in the Pacific salmon.
Outside of work, Dr. Diaz enjoys art, European history, traveling, playing the guitar and painting. He shares his home with two Labrador retrievers, Max and Tonka.
